Yes, the final activity on April 26th was the MHUW Baby Shower held at Amy Blair’s home. The Mile High United Way is known for being the impetus for change in the Denver community as well as nationwide. Who better to host a Baby Shower to help fulfill their mission to prepare children for a life of success?
This year, the Baby Haven was one of the recipients of such generosity. We were in good company with Florence Crittenton Services of Colorado. “The Community Baby Shower collected over $4,700 worth of baby shower goods that included 4 strollers, 23 books, 24 Boppy pillows, 45 sippy cups, 45 boxes of diapers, 95 onesies, and many others! These gifts will directly benefit underserved children in our community.”
Lucia Buehler and Mary Beth Carter took the morning off to bring us car seats, pacifiers, sippy cups, diapers, wipes, and stollers. The clients were so humbled by this generosity. It always fills my spirit to see their gratitude when they see how much our community is pulling for them.
Thank you to all of you who either participated in the day of service or contributed to the Baby Shower. We are so grateful to be partners with you in creating safe, empowering environments for women in recovery and their children.
