Friends of the Haven has the most amazing donors! As of the end of May, you all have brought in over $50,000 worth of in-kind donations! (I am still catching up on June and July!) Thank you! We are grateful to know you are out there telling your friends and family about us and collecting items for our clients. FOH is humbled by the volume of your support. We, FOH, The Haven staff, and the clients, consider this as an outward sign of your love, care, and devotion to helping women get their lives back on track. We want all your selfless deeds to continue to bring the greatest benefit our clients and their families. You all have made such an impact on the ladies at The Haven with your donations that we are discovering a need to be more mindful with the donations we are collecting. To this end, every month will have one or two categories of donations for you to focus your efforts towards. Our kick off to this new initiative couldn’t come at a better time. August is Back to School Month nearly everywhere! We have clients with children at the Baby Haven and clients with kids living with family and friends. All the kids need help with school supplies; and school supplies are on sale and plentiful right now. Great Schools website lists the basics and organizes them in to age range.
