CRCNA (pronounced krik-nah by those ‘round these parts) is an important part of recovery for many people- including the clients in treatment at the Haven. Learning to have fun without the use of drugs or alcohol is vital.
The 2014 Colorado Regional Conference of Narcotics Anonymous was held the weekend of Oct 24-26. It is a 3 day celebration held in various cities and venues across Colorado. This year it was held in Longmont at the Plaza Hotel and Convention Center. With over 800 people in attendance, it was one of the best conferences yet.
Through donations made by two Haven and Peer One graduates, 28 of the Haven Clients were able to stay at the Hotel, listen to the inspirational speakers, participate in the dances both Friday and Saturday night (even getting the celebration started by being first to the dance floor), and otherwise experience the camaraderie of recovery for an entire weekend. It was truly an opportunity like no other!
