Saturdays are usually reserved for soccer games and some yard work in late April. Not here at the Haven. On April 26th Friends of the Haven, Concerts for Kids, Grow Local Colorado, the Denver Junior League, and Mile High United Way’s Women’s Alliance Group were all on hand supporting the incredible miracles happening at Fort Logan.
Every year Concerts for Kids promotes “A Day of Service”, usually with local businesses sending out their employees to be “do-gooders” for the day. This year, FOH and the Haven, had an extra special group come… Kimberly Malone and Elieen Tracy are two savvy service wizards committed to Denver Metro nonprofits. They gathered 24 of their closest friends and relatives to come out and give back- no employee incentive needed. They painted 1200 square feet of tall ceilings and tight rooms for the ladies at the Haven. They cleaned, sanitized, and other words spruced up the entire Baby Haven. They we feel so blessed to call them our newest “Friends”.
